GCSE Media
Studies is not always to be found in textbooks. You need to take the
principles that you learn in class and apply them to the media that
you find around you. Most students have in-depth knowledge of particular
forms of media (your favourite genre of music, or movies, or video games)
and you should apply what you have learned in school to the media in
your life.
This site
should help you find up-to-the-minute information for your GCSE media
course. Although it relates to the WJEC syllabus you will hopefully
find it useful whichever exam board you are using.
Use the
menu on the left to go to the main topic areas covered, or use the 'Search
the Site' facility: just enter a keyword. If you haven't already
read them, the KS3 pages will provide
you with a basic introduction to the main areas of the media.
You will
also find it useful to browse the news in order to keep up with the
latest in media developments. Try

•

and developments. You'll need to register, but it's free.
